Thomas, 6/16/2013 9:19:12 PM EST Fairways are still compacted and not smooth and plush. Aeration of fairways needs to be accompished.
Donald Livengood, 5/24/2013 3:58:26 PM EST The course is in the best condition I've seen it since it's opening. The new Bermuda greens are fantastic! The course is draining well; even with the heavy rains. Excellent!
John Chandler, 12/15/2012 7:13:01 PM EST Played 3 weeks ago. New greens are great. Once they have a season in they should be as good as anywhere.
Thomas, 10/15/2012 3:21:46 PM EST Greens are in pretty good shape. Collars have been replanted so hope they can maintain them. Tee boxes have some stray grass that was planted in the past and never rolled or leveled. If they don't shave the fairways it should be okay during the winter.
Sedrick Teemer, 8/31/2012 7:34:48 AM EST Awesome layout. You get what you see. Greens were in great shape. It was worth the ride.
Larry Lawrence, 8/30/2012 5:30:37 PM EST I would like to thank everyone that had a hand in the renovation of OAC. Not only are the new greens outstanding, but the fairways are in the best shape since I have been a member at this club (1994). I would also like to commend the restaurant staff for hanging in while the play was so low. I hope all of the members understand their part in maintaining what Canongate did in make this an outstanding club to play, and when they are on the course to repair divots, ball marks and keep the trash off the course. Thank you, Canongate and OAC Staff for all of your hard work.
Craig Lucas, 8/30/2012 4:09:53 PM EST Greens are unreal. Smooth and fast.
Stephen Gately, 8/22/2012 11:01:46 PM EST I can't believe that I am the first person to comment on what a GREAT job the Olde Atlanta staff did in replacing the greens, the collars and maintaining excellent fairway and rough conditions. I played last Saturday and must say that I was very impressed. I liked the fact that my partners complained about the speed of the greens and the difficult rough. Kudos to the staff. I can't wait to play it again.
Kevin Duffy, 5/15/2012 10:18:15 PM EST My home course, friendliest service of any canongate golf course.... by far. Im there everyday, and the course is in pretty good shape right now. spraying greens now, but i know it will be a better course with the champion bermuda grass.
Teri Summers, 5/6/2012 11:22:09 AM EST The course is okay. A round of play was five hours and 10 minutes on Sat, May 5. The length of time to play the course detracts immensely from the whole Olde Atlanta experience. We'll play a different course in the future.
Canongate Golf Clubs, 4/6/2012 9:33:39 AM EST Recently we have been getting positive feedback from members on the conversion to mini-verde Bermuda grass which is proven and used at East Lake and many other great country clubs in the Atlanta area. We are disappointed with turf coverage on certain tee boxes. Bruce, our golf course superintendent has worked hard to address this issue and has made great progress so far. We expect the coverage to improve as we move more into season and we will not be satisfied until we have achieved full coverage. We are happy to report the collars at Olde Atlanta are in great shape for spring!
Thomas, 3/31/2012 11:02:12 PM EST Greens are in pretty good shape but now they want to destroy them and replace with bermuda. Only problem is if no more attention is given than what happens now, they will be unplayable. Collars are in poor shape. Tee boxes have transplant grass that is wrong type of grass and uneven. Fairways are hard pan and cut too tight.
Ju Chan Hwang, 12/20/2011 7:03:38 PM EST
Miles Mitchell, 12/9/2011 11:36:24 PM EST Greens are in great condition. The Bent grass is thriving now that the heat has gone. The course is a great layout, giving you the opportunity to use every club in the bag!
Seong Hyun Cho, 10/17/2011 12:03:01 PM EST green is much better than before. However need to improve more.
Jcob, 8/13/2011 2:53:08 AM EST Bad Bad green Condition...

Canongate Golf Clubs, 8/4/2011 10:06:52 AM EST The greens issues at Old Atlanta are the result of unprecedented heat (7 degrees above historical norms) and the fact that several greens at Old Atlanta get very poor natural air flow. We are doing everything possible to deal with this temporary issue and encourage members to play nearby Windermere, which is in fantastic shape or one of the other 22 Canongate Clubs in the Atlanta area. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support and continued loyalty.
Anonymous, 8/2/2011 11:55:00 AM EST The clubhouse, pro shop and teaching pro staff are terrific. Outside of this summer, the course has been in good condition. However this summer the greens have been obliterated. They are the worst greens I have seen in the area this summer.
member, 7/30/2011 11:37:02 PM EST close the course and rebuild damaged green and money back to the home course member till back to normal green
Member, 7/30/2011 9:21:49 PM EST Not Again. They never learned from last year's experience. It's ridiculous.Disappointed.
Anonymous, 7/29/2011 8:36:26 AM EST Hot weather isn't a surprise in Georgia. Without greens, the course is unplayable in the summer. They need to put in Champion ultradrawf bermuda. Even if they just start with a few this year and convert more over time. It's a shame to lose a good Canongate course for the summer.
John Healy, 7/27/2011 4:24:21 PM EST Can't believe we lost the greens..AGAIN !!!!!!!
Anonymous, 7/25/2011 1:57:06 AM EST Nice course, fun to play. Ive always had a great time and shot a good score.
Blake, 7/12/2011 3:13:50 PM EST Great course, greens are in pretty rough shape though.
Olde Atlanta Golfer, 7/9/2011 6:58:28 AM EST Course is in fair shape at best, the greens are almost gone. Course is great to play on weekedays. Unless you have 5 hours to kill on a Saturday or Sunday, pick another course. Notorious slow weekend play has dogged this course for years.
Young Chun, 6/27/2011 11:35:00 AM EST green condition was bad...

Shawn, 6/5/2011 8:05:12 AM EST Love the layout. Not long, but deceivingly challenging. Short-sided is dead.
Sanderson, 5/21/2011 8:28:52 AM EST We love to play here. Dave Anderson is fabulous with lessons, Brant and the guys in the pro-shop are super-nice and Stuart and the ladies in the restaurant are wonderful. There are always carts available thanks to Tommy and the rest of the guys.

Tim Ross, 4/24/2011 3:15:34 PM EST Very enjoyable course, I'll be back.
Chad R, 4/14/2011 12:23:12 PM EST The layout is average at best. The condition is OK. There is not really anything great about it, but it is OK.
