Olde Atlanta Golf Club

Olde Atlanta Golf Club, located just north of Atlanta by way of a short drive up GA-400, is the epitome of a course built upon wild and rugged terrain and then turned into a spectacular and playable golf course through masterful design. The course was built in 1993 by Master Architect - Arthur Hills.

This course is popular among Atlanta and north Georgia golfers for many reasons which include, but are not limited to its varying terrain, dramatic changes in elevation and spectacular scenery.

All Canongate members, regardless of Home Club, should definitely add Olde Atlanta to their “must play” list. The picturesque and challenging course rambless through the north Georgia foothills, winds around three sparkling lakes and incorporates numerous elevation changes. All of these elements make for an unforgettable round of golf at one of Atlanta’s favorite golf courses.

Walking is permitted weekdays at any time. Walking on weekends is permitted after 12:00 PM from April 1-October 31. Players must carry their bags as pull carts are not permitted.

My home course, friendliest service of any canongate golf course.... by far. Im there everyday, and the course is in pretty good shape right now. spraying greens now, but i know it will be a better course with the champion bermuda grass.

The course is okay. A round of play was five hours and 10 minutes on Sat, May 5. The length of time to play the course detracts immensely from the whole Olde Atlanta experience. We'll play a different course in the future.

Recently we have been getting positive feedback from members on the conversion to mini-verde Bermuda grass which is proven and used at East Lake and many other great country clubs in the Atlanta area. We are disappointed with turf coverage on certain tee boxes. Bruce, our golf course superintendent has worked hard to address this issue and has made great progress so far. We expect the coverage to improve as we move more into season and we will not be satisfied until we have achieved full coverage. We are happy to report the collars at Olde Atlanta are in great shape for spring!
