I live on the course and it could be great, but, the greens have been punched at least 3 times since spring, give up the bent grass and go to champion bermuda like Whitewater, or be prepared to have limited play in the summer, maybe the lake will help some, but the fans are quirky and a bother to golfers. Part of playing golf is enjoying the serenity and that isn't easy when every green has a "noise maker" on it. The other problem is the poorly designed new hole 5 and the ridiculous OB that has been installed. Make it a long par 4 and move the tee boxes forward and have a par 71 so you can remove the OB, or you could still have a par 72 if you moved the tee box back 75 yards on 9 and made that a par 5. That would be a great finishing hole for the front side and bring the new lake into play on the drive and on a risk/reward 2nd or on a lay-up 3rd. Come on guys, with the new lake, this could be a premier Canongate course, but the greens and #5 with the OB (which doesn't conform to USGA rules by the way) are killing it!
